    Understand personal differences in the context of cultural differences that have national, religious, and social origins. Learn how to embrace diversity to create a harmonious work group. Apply various cross-cultural models in real case scenarios.
  • MGT 5836 Difficult People and Difficult Conversations (2 credits)
    In this course students will develop and use their emotional intelligence to handle high conflict personality types and other difficult people. They will practice difficult conversations with peers, subordinates and supervisors. They will perfect the art of giving and receiving feedback.

All MIU students practice the Transcendental Meditation technique. Learn the Transcendental Meditation technique — the scientifically validated method to reduce personal stress and develop clarity of mind and broad awareness.

It is recommended to learn TM before the beginning of the classes. However, students have up to six weeks after the beginning to learn it in their local TM centers.

Weekly Class Schedule

  • Tuesdays: 7:30-9:00 PM US CST
  • Thursdays: 7:30-9:00 PM US CST
  • Saturdays: 10:00-12:30 PM US CST

The class sessions are video-conferenced live via the Internet and are recorded for students whose time zone or work schedule does not permit synchronous participation.

Readings and homework account for another 7-10 hours of academic work per week.
